Wild Ark

Conservationists Mark and Sophie Hutchinson founded Wild Arc to protect nature and its inhabitants. One of their mission goals is to inspire others to reconnect with nature in order to protect it from destruction and the wildlife form extinction. Therefore, their team to include Ambassadors of the Wild work together not only to generate awareness of the disappearing habitats causing the extinction of animals, but, also protecting these habitats or green belts. The land is not the only habitat endangering the lives of many species, but, also the waters. “We are altering ecosystems, decimating biodiversity and polluting our waters,” stated an environmentalist in the Treehugger Conservation article in June 2017. Scientist Jennifer McGowan heads the union with Macquarie University to identify and protect the lands of the 100 “umbrella” species in the remote areas of Australia. Many would consider the destruction of these remote lands abuse of the animal’s environment. Neglect of these animal’s homes causes their species to eventually become extinct.

Abuse of animal’s and their habitat is prevalent in all areas of the world. One of the key ways to resolve the abuse of animal’s and their habitat is educating people not to abuse animals in their wild habitat as well as in their own backyard. Then, people as a society will understand the severity of abuse both in their homes and in the animal’s backyard, their habitat in the wild.

Securus : Constant Contact For Families Of Inmates

Securus Technologies offers for inmates and civilians to submit an entry on the web conduct a visit. The proper procedures are then to put together a type of video access, given to family and friends. You can now take an interest in video-in-video sessions for 7 days a week, as long as it is in between the hours of 7:00 a.m to 9:30 pm.

Appointments must be reserved 24 hours ahead of time. For those who have to travel for a longer period of time, Securus Technology system is very economical. The customary cost for a stay at home visit is only $12. During certain seasons there is also a discount, in those times the present cost for a video visit from home will be $ 7. 99.

Inmates are finding the video conferencing system extremely helpful. By paying a fee, inmates allow relatives and friends to see them and speak from a distance from their homes, more often. Jail experts safeguard the use of this innovation offered by privately owned businesses, contending that it enhances security by wiping out any illegal smuggling into their correctional facilities and offers detainees and their families the opportunity to have successful arrangements, without having to travel and visit a loved one, while being assessed by penitentiary personnel.

Prison authorities defend the use of this Securus Technology in agreement with the inmates, arguing that it not only improves security but it allows family members the ability to hold more frequent appointments. This new framework will permit companions of detainees and their families, for a little charge, to lead separate visits from the solace of their homes as many times as they would like, between the designated hours.

Give your imprisoned loved ones the chance to feel nearer to you and your family through a home visit to share moments together.

Every moment and dollar counts. Stop squandering them heading out to prison, removing time from work, sorting out who watches over your young ones, and paying for a sitter. Now even prisoners can have a fun time by partaking in festivities like birthdays and holidays with loved ones. They get to laugh and enjoy watching the family members have fun, instead of having to ruin the fun by having family members visit them on the holidays.

The Student Engagement Approach at Success Academy is a Success

Success Academy Charter Schools are worth boasting about. The success of Success Academy is abounding and worth note considering the small amount of time the school has been open. Eva Moskowitz formed Success Academy in 2006, and it is now the largest and highest performing free, public charter school network in New York City. This is an amazing feat!

Success Academy is open to all children in the state of New York and has 41 schools throughout the state in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Bronx. However, due to a recent abundance of student applicants the size of Success Academy may be growing. For the 2017 year, there were a total of 17,000 applicants with only 3,017 seats available. As a result there has been a request for a sector expansion.

One need not question the reasoning behind parents’ desire to become part of the Success Academy family when statistics are considered. According to academic scores, students at Success Academy have scored in the 1% in Math, the 2% in English , and the 5% in Science in New York.

How does Success Academy Charter Schools create a platform for such high percentages of student success?

The team at Success Academy ensure students have a strong core knowledge with critical thinking skills that encourage both independence and self-advocacy. This school strives to promote student engagement and parent involvement. A less conventional approach is taken to teaching, promoting more tasks that require hands-on application to stimulate student engagement.

In the high school setting, this hands- on approach includes: community service, internships, and college preparatory activities. In fact, all 9th and 10th graders are required to participate in community service activities and the entire school is required to participate in Service Days. There is also a strong promotion of engagement in elementary schools as well. Elementary students only receive 80 minutes of direct lectures from teachers each day; most of the lessons are hands-on engagement focused learning activities. So, much of the success of the academy is student involvement.

It appears that the engagement approached learning at Success Academy has been quite effective.
